Do you want to stay married or not?

As a husband or wife, would you say that you are a reliable source of support for your spouse? Can they count on you to be there for them in anyway they need you to be? Do you provide a safe place for them to be themselves without fear of judgement? Or do you think your main job is to nag and criticize them until you successfully put them in their place? These questions can be answered as you look back to your wedding day and consider honestly the vows you made to your spouse. This is not rocket science. Doing certain things will successfully tear away at the fabric of your marriage causing it to disintegrate. The question ofcourse is…. do you want to stay married or not?

What does marriage mean to you?

I have a question for you married and single folk alike. Do you consider marriage to be something you enter into with the intention of getting blessed or to be a blessing? Do you expect someone else to ‘make you happy?’  Do you on the other hand believe its right for you, to be prepared to contribute significantly to making someone else happy? However you answer these questions, will determine the attitude you adopt when you enter into the sanctity of your marriage and therefore whether or not its a successful venture or not! Afterall no-one likes having to deal with a ‘me first,’ high maintenance kind of person! So shall we all do some serious soul searching to ensure that the selfish, self centered somebody in question is not us!!

Great Sex… a major marriage blessing!

Marriage is indeed a gift. When you find the right person for you, the one you want to spend the rest of your life with, this is indeed one of the greatest gifts you could ever hope to get in this life. It is a bonus and blessing then when within the sanctity of marriage you are also able to have an enjoy great sex! What is so great about it? Well simply this…..sex is meant to bless you both by having the ability to draw you closer together as it reinforces and cements your togetherness! When Almighty God our creator invented it, he intended it to be one of the greatest things on earth! Don’t be taken in by Hollywood…..who try to make out that they thought of it first! One only has to look at Hollywood’s track record of divorce to know that they lied big time!

Renewing your marriage!

I believe it is wise to go into the next phase of your married life with renewal in mind. What can you do to bring a freshness into your marriage? No its not just up to your spouse to do it all. No its not about getting a new spouse! Instead take time to consider what you can do to give your marriage a brand new start!

How are you a blessing to your marriage?

Happy new year to every married couple! It is wonderful to have entered 2015 safely with your spouse….(spare a thought for all those who are now widowed for one reason or another). With this in mind I have a question for you? How do you plan to be a special blessing to your husband/wife this year? What are you going to do to make them thank God they have you in their lives? Being a blessing is not just a coincidence! It often takes doing certain things on purpose! How are you a blessing to your marriage? Are there ways in which you are actually a liability? How do you plan to address those things, habits and behaviour? What can you do to make things better? How can you add to the quality of the marriage? As there is always room for improvement, what else can you bring to the table?

What does it take to have a great marriage?

Your marriage is supposed to be the reason you laugh and sing rather than the reason you cry and wish you were somewhere, anywhere else! Remember however that a great marriage does not come about by wishful thinking alone. It takes hard work, a bucket load of endless love, full commitment and complete investment of oneself to the relationship to keep going even when the going gets tough!
